How to read your profile scores

Each Area and Pattern uses a scale from -2 at its left pole to +2 at its right pole, with 0 in the center. The marker shows the direction and strength of the current result on that named scale.

The words negative and positive in the calculation mean left and right, not bad and good. Either pole can support you or create difficulty depending on the situation.

The score answers: where does the current result sit? Coverage answers: how much of the underlying Area, Pattern, or Angles has been measured so far?

An early score can be valid while still resting on limited coverage. Read both together rather than treating the number alone as a complete description.

Each of the five answer choices maps to a position from -2 to +2 between the Pattern's poles. Reversed questions are normalized so the stored direction still matches the correct named pole.

For one exact Pattern and Angle, the current Angle score comes from the latest valid answer that is eligible for the current profile.

A Pattern score averages whichever Trait, Motivation, and Reluctance scores are currently available. Every available Angle receives equal weight.

A Pattern with one, two, or three measured Angles always uses the same score type. What changes is its coverage and the amount of context available for interpreting it.

An Area score averages the currently available scores from its five Patterns. Every available Pattern receives equal weight, regardless of how many Angles currently contribute to that Pattern.

This is why an Area can appear after its first answered Pattern and then move as the remaining Patterns gain coverage.

When a newer valid answer is added for the same Pattern and Angle, it becomes the current contribution. Earlier answers remain visible in History but are not averaged into the current score.

If the current answer is deleted, the newest remaining eligible answer for that cell becomes current. Deleting an older answer leaves the current score unchanged.
